Tailored for Theatre and Dance Ensembles, Theatre and Performance Departments, our TransLAB offers an immersive experience that melds traditional and cutting-edge staging techniques, meditation, and generative writing forms like Automatic and Asemic Writing and Three-Image creation. Leveraging advanced methodologies such as Active Imagination and Directing Pragmatics techniques, and the generative use of the Shared Book, our hands-on workshops guide you through crafting emotionally resonant text and developing collective narratives. We offer three unique TransLAB formats, each designed to awaken creative material from within and transform it into resonant, performative language:

  • TransLAB Residency: The Full Harvest (30 hrs)
    Our facilitator will travel to your site for a five-day, in-person immersive lab. During this residency, your ensemble will engage in a transformative process of generating collective narratives and symbolic performance material through movement, image work, and generative writing. The space becomes both a studio and an archive, where performance emerges from the subconscious and shared experiences. Designed for ensembles of 15 to 17 members.

  • TransLAB: The Inner Field Generator (10 hrs)
    A five-session online journey where participants engage in meditative, generative, and collaborative practices—including automatic writing, asemic drawing, and image composition—to cultivate a shared, living archive of creative material. Designed for ensembles of 10 to 12 members ready to explore performance from the inside out.

  • TransLAB: The Singular Harvest (8 hrs)
    A one-on-one, personalized journey guiding the individual artist through symbolic harvesting, subconscious exploration, and emergent creation. Ideal for those seeking deeper inner alignment and a transformative approach to generating performance from within.

Forum Theatre Laboratory

Dive into a dynamic, action-led experience with our comprehensive workshop focused on Forum Theatre, designed to confront and dismantle societal oppression directly. Engage in a hands-on, methodology-centric approach that centers on immersive theatre, Image Theatre, and real-world scenario analyses. We kick off with immediate immersion into the core roles of Forum Theatre: the Protagonist, Antagonist, and the facilitating Joker. From there, plunge into real-life scenarios where you take the helm as the protagonist to explore alternative solutions. We amplify this experience with Image Theatre sessions, where participants create "living images" to articulate complex social issues without words. The Joker guides these interactive sessions to encourage critical thinking, discussion, and collective problem-solving. Whether you're an educator, a social worker, or someone passionate about community, our workshop equips you with the practical tools to enact meaningful change, relying not just on words but on impactful action.
